Accounting Technology Accounting Technology has a broad focus that emphasizes the skills required for a successful career in accounting or bookkeeping. Students take a variety of courses in subjects such as financial accounting, payroll accounting, tax accounting, and managerial accounting. Students also become proficient with several computer accounting systems. Select courses are available through distance learning. The Accounting Technology curriculum is reviewed by an advisory board composed of local and regional industry members.

Health Service Option The primary mission of the Accounting Technology Degree Option in Health Services is to prepare individuals for accounting careers in the health service arena. This degree melds existing coursework in the Accounting Technology Program with medical coursework to form an integrated option under the Accounting Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree. Program graduates, possessing an understanding of both accounting and medical concepts and principles, will be able to work in a variety of health service environments.
