Accounting degree at Saint Martin’s University

A bachelor of arts degree in accounting is offered through the Saint Martin’s University business and economics division.

Accounting is a descriptive/analytical discipline that provides quantitative information critical to management decision-making. The accounting department offers a variety of courses to prepare graduates for responsible positions in private practice, corporate accounting and governmental service.

Because of the University’s liberal arts heritage, students majoring in accounting are trained to be well-rounded professionals rather than technicians. All Saint Martin’s students take the University’s general education requirements. Accounting students begin by taking 15 semester hours of foundation courses. This is followed by 33 semester hours of a common professional component and 21 semester hours of requirements for completion of the major.

Major in Accounting at Camosun College

The Campbell Advantage
Most universities and many colleges offer the accounting major. But Campbell offers you a program that is exceptionally strong and unique, because…

o You will enjoy the benefits of a large university business program within small-classroom settings…

o You will take courses available only at Campbell from teachers who take the time to know you personally; and…

o You will earn a degree from a university distinguished by our dedication to quality liberal arts education, free enterprise, and our Christian Mission.

o The Campbell Program
We have created an innovative program designed to prepare you for a variety of options, including: accepting challenging positions with CPA firms, corporations, government, and not-for-profit organizations; or pursuing a Master of Business (MBA), Master of Accountancy, or law school degree.
Our majors meet all educational requirements for eligibility to sit for North Carolina CPA exam and that of most other states. You will also have two programs from which to choose.

· Our traditional four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in accounting; or,

· Our unique five-year 3/2 program which allows you to earn both a BBA and MBA.

We also offer undergraduate courses you rarely find elsewhere. For example, Total Quality Management (TQM) has become a major corporate priority nationally, yet we are one of the few colleges or universities to offer it in an integrated fashion with cost accounting. Our majors can also enroll in estate and gift and financial planning courses offered through Campbell’s one-of-a-kind Trust Management Program.
